Sedat Suna was born southeast of Turkey in Gaziantep city. He graduated high school in Gaziantep. He moved to Istanbul at 2001 and started Dicle News Agency as a reporter. He has collaborated NarPhotos Photo Agency
between 2004-2005 as stringer. He started to work for EPA- European Pressphoto Agency in 2006, joined staff photographer crew in 2013. He still produces news photos and photo stories for EPA.

In that photo, Syrian children can be seen playing in a destroyed area of the city in a tank that does not
work. The children look happy because they are playing as if we played in a park but what impacts people
is that some children are so close to the war and this is a bit what the image wants to represent.
